“Azerbaijan has achieved positive progress regarding the problem of gender-based violence by taking relevant steps and implementing reforms,” United Nations Population Fund’s (UNFPA) Regional Director for Eastern Europe and Central Asia Florence Bauer said at the international conference on “Prevention of domestic violence: possibilities and perspectives”, APA reports.

She also noted that society should show zero tolerance against gender-based violence as well.
