Baku: Azerbaijan has earmarked an additional 14.6 million manat ($8.59 million) for the construction of private residential houses in Shukurbayli village, located in the Jabrayil district. This funding aims to support the development of the village by providing suitable housing for internally displaced persons.

According to Trend News Agency, the Fund for the Social Development of Internally Displaced Persons has recently completed a tender process for the construction project. “Tunnel-Metro Inshaat LLC” emerged as the winner of this tender, securing the contract to build the residential units. The construction in Shukurbayli village will include 93 single-story private houses that will accommodate 1,042 families, with 635 families in the initial phase. The total cost for this phase of construction is estimated at 14.56 million manat ($8.56 million).

The village of Shukurbayli, which spans a total area of 298 hectares, is designed to be a comprehensive community. In addition to housing, the village will fea
ture a variety of facilities including a school, kindergarten, administrative building, community club, shopping center, medical point, mosque, and a guest house. These amenities aim to provide a self-sufficient and sustainable living environment for the residents.
