Baku: Azerbaijan invested over AZN 2 billion in the Karabakh and East Zangezur economic regions during the first half of the year. In January through June, a total of 2 billion 75 million 301 thousand manats were directed towards these regions, as reported by the State Statistical Committee to APA-Economics.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the majority of these investments, amounting to 2 billion 38 million 449 thousand manats, were allocated for construction and installation works. This signifies a significant focus on infrastructure development within these areas.
In the Karabakh economic region alone, the investments reached 857 million 868 thousand manats during the first half of the year. Of this investment, 835 million 145 thousand manats were specifically allocated for construction and installation activities, highlighting a concentrated effort in rebuilding and developing this area.
Meanwhile, in the East Zangezur economic region, investments totaled 1 billion 217 million 433 thousand manats over the same period. Of this, 1 billion 203 million 304 thousand manats were devoted to construction and installation works, indicating a similar development strategy as in Karabakh.
