Baku: The tenth meeting of the State Commission on the Delimitation of the State Border between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia, as well as the Commission on the Delimitation of the State Border and Border Security Issues, was held on November 1, 2024. The meeting took place on the border between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia, under the leadership of Shahin Mustafayev, Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, and Mher Grigoryan, Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia. According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the meeting was conducted in line with Article 7 of the Regulation signed on August 30, 2024. During the session, both parties exchanged notifications, marking the completion of necessary domestic procedures required for the Regulation's entry into force. It was highlighted that the Regulation would officially become effective on November 1, 2024, as dictated by Article 7, which establishes the effective date upon receiving the final written notification from the i nvolved parties. Furthermore, discussions were held on the sequence of border areas for the upcoming delimitation work phase. The parties also reviewed drafts of instructions pertinent to the procedures for executing the delimitation tasks. An agreement was reached to determine the date and location for the forthcoming meeting through working-level coordination. Additionally, Shahin Mustafayev and Mher Grigoryan held separate discussions post-meeting, focusing on transportation communication issues between the two nations.
