Azerbaijan and bp Forge New Partnerships with MoUs

Baku: Azerbaijani Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov and President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) Rovshan Najaf held a meeting with Meg O'Neill, the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of bp. The meeting focused on the ongoing collaboration and future projects between Azerbaijan and bp.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, discussions during the meeting revolved around the company's global operations and its successful past cooperation with Azerbaijan. The parties also explored further areas of collaboration. Key outcomes of the meeting included the signing of documents between the Ministry of Economy, SOCAR, and bp Exploration (Caspian Sea) Limited.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of Economy and bp aims to enhance the Ministry's high-performance computing (HPC) infrastructure. This initiative is geared towards leveraging bp's expertise to bolster the digital economy in Azerbaijan. Another MoU between SOCAR and bp is set to expand energy cooperation and strengthen Azerbaijan's role as a global energy hub.
