Azerbaijan and China Explore Commemorative Stamp for Diplomatic Milestone

Baku: Azerpost LLC, a company under AZCON Holding, recently hosted a delegation led by Chinese Ambassador to Azerbaijan Lu Mei to discuss avenues for expanding cooperation in postal services, e-commerce, and logistics infrastructure between Azerbaijan and China.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the discussions included the issuance of a commemorative postage stamp to celebrate the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 2027. Both parties expressed interest in enhancing partnerships, particularly between Chinese e-commerce platforms and Azerpost, with a focus on the transportation, processing, and last-mile delivery of postal and commercial shipments.

The meeting also saw proposals to identify Chinese companies that specialize in manufacturing automated sorting systems and other advanced technological equipment. This initiative aims to support the modernization of Azerpost's logistics infrastructure. Following the identification of potential partners, technical meetings and presentations on relevant technological solutions and equipment are expected to be organized.
