Azerbaijan and China Strengthen Bilateral Ties Through High-Level Talks

Beijing: Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeyhun Bayramov, met with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi during his official visit to China to discuss a range of regional and international issues, as reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The meeting highlighted the current state and potential advancements in both bilateral and multilateral relations between Azerbaijan and China, with a particular focus on regional and global security issues.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the discussions emphasized the upcoming 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and China in 2027. The Ministers reviewed global and regional security matters and explored cooperation plans within the Central Asia format. The Azerbaijani side briefed the Chinese delegation on post-conflict reconstruction efforts and the ongoing mine threat, expressing gratitude for China's support to the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA).

The expanded meeting in Beijing, reported by APA, further explored the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two nations, underscoring the significance of high-level political dialogue and consistent communication between the Foreign Ministries. Discussions also included the enhancement of economic and trade cooperation, investment opportunities, connectivity and transport corridors, energy collaboration, and joint efforts in innovation and digital development.
