Baku:Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov engaged in talks with a delegation led by Secretary-General Deemah AlYahya of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO) on October 5.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the meeting focused on the potential for enhancing cooperation between Azerbaijan and the DCO, especially after Azerbaijan's recent accession to the organization. Key topics included digital transformation, innovation, artificial intelligence, the digital economy, and the startup ecosystem.
Minister Bayramov highlighted Azerbaijan's commitment to digital development and innovation, emphasizing the significance of new technologies in economic growth and international partnerships. He outlined the nation's initiatives in developing a digital economy, enhancing digital infrastructure, and promoting innovative and artificial intelligence solutions.
The discussions also covered Azerbaijan's role in energy security and the reliable transportation of energy resources. The parties noted Azerbaijan's active participation in regional and international energy cooperation, which has bolstered economic ties through advanced digital technologies.
Additionally, the meeting addressed Azerbaijan's efforts to enhance regional transport and communication links. This includes improving international transport corridors and expanding transit opportunities, with a particular emphasis on digital technologies and optimized logistics.
Secretary-General AlYahya shared insights into the DCO's activities, praising Azerbaijan's digital advancements and expressing the organization's desire to further strengthen cooperation with Azerbaijan.
Both sides also exchanged perspectives on various mutual interests, including ongoing international and regional developments.
