Azerbaijan and Estonia Enhance Bilateral Relations Through Political Consultations

Baku: The Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and Estonia recently conducted another round of political consultations in Baku. Fariz Rzayev, Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, and Martin Roger, Undersecretary for Political Affairs at Estonia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, led the discussions.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the consultations focused on reviewing the current state of political relations between the two nations, emphasizing the significance of reciprocal visits and international meetings in maintaining and strengthening their bilateral dialogue. A noteworthy development was the opening of Estonia's Embassy in Azerbaijan, which was recognized as a crucial step in advancing relations.

The discussions extended to cooperation in economic, humanitarian, and educational sectors, and the exchange of views on strategic energy and transport projects initiated and actively participated in by Azerbaijan. Prospects for cooperation within international organizations were also explored.

Additionally, the dialogue included an assessment of the regional situation, progress in the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and the large-scale restoration, reconstruction, and demining efforts in the liberated territories. Other regional and international issues of mutual interest were also addressed during the meeting.
