Baku: The co-chairs of the State Commission have discussed the implementation status of joint projects carried out by Azerbaijan and Iran, the Cabinet of Ministers told APA. A recent telephone conversation between Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev and Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development Farzaneh Sadegh focused on the ongoing collaboration between the two nations.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the conversation was centered on evaluating the progress of projects outlined in the Memorandum of Understanding, signed after the 17th meeting of the State Commission in Baku in February. Both parties highlighted effective cooperation across various sectors, including economic, trade, transport, transit, energy, and water.

Significant progress was reported in the transport sector, notably the completion of the Aghband-Kelaleh road bridge project. Discussions also covered the necessary steps to finalize work at the Astara freight terminal, signaling continued advancement in the bilateral projects between Azerbaijan and Iran.
