Baku:SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf recently met with Alessandro Bernini, CEO of MAIRE Group, to discuss expanding cooperation in the oil and petrochemical industries.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, both sides praised the dynamic development of the energy partnership between Azerbaijan and Italy. They highlighted SOCAR's activities in Italy, including acquiring shares in Italiana Petroli, as a reflection of the successful collaboration between the two countries.

The meeting further commended the effective partnership that SOCAR and MAIRE have established over the years in refining and petrochemical sectors.

Discussions also focused on potential prospects for expanding cooperation in the petrochemical sector and exploring opportunities to implement new joint projects in areas of mutual interest.
