Baku:The Azerbaijan State Academic National Drama Theater and the Eug¨ne Ionesco National Theater of Moldova have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation at Moldova's Ministry of Culture, supported by Azerbaijan's Ministry of Culture.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the memorandum was signed by Ilham Asgarov, Director of the Azerbaijan State Academic National Drama Theater, and Valeriu Pahomi, Director General of the Eug¨ne Ionesco National Theater.
Moldovan Minister of Culture Dan Suruceanu praised the initiative, emphasizing its importance in strengthening cultural ties between Azerbaijan and Moldova. He noted that the cooperation would significantly benefit the development of both theaters.
Azerbaijani Ambassador to Moldova, Ulvi Bakhshaliyev, expressed the embassy's commitment to supporting the expansion of creative relations between the two theaters.
Ilham Asgarov underscored the importance of international cooperation for the development of theatrical art, highlighting ongoing efforts to establish relations between national theaters.
Petru Vutcarau, Artistic Director of the Eug¨ne Ionesco National Theater, shared his positive experiences with the Azerbaijan State Academic National Drama Theater, recalling a play he directed there in 2012. The event concluded with performances of 'The Murder of Gonzago' and 'The Inspector', directed by Vutcarau.
