Baku: Azerbaijan's Minister of Energy, Parviz Shahbazov, met with Pakistan's Federal Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, Musadik Masood Malik, during the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku. The discussions centered around enhancing cooperation in the energy sector between the two nations.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, both ministers recognized the impact of the strong political ties between Azerbaijan and Pakistan in fostering energy sector collaboration. They reviewed the agenda for further developing energy cooperation and discussed the role of electricity interconnectors linking Azerbaijan with Europe, Trkiye, and Central Asia. The Zangezur corridor was also highlighted, given the increasing demand for electricity and the strategic importance of energy sources and routes.
The meeting further covered events organized as part of the "Baku Energy Week," reflecting the ongoing efforts to strengthen energy cooperation and explore new opportunities for partnership.
