Moscow: Taking into account the importance of regular contacts and the existing mechanisms of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia, a preliminary agreement has been reached between the deputy prime ministers, and a meeting between Shahin Mustafayev and Alexey Overchuk is planned for September this year, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said at a joint press conference with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Moscow, APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the minister highlighted that the meeting is expected to cover cooperation in a number of areas, reflecting both countries' commitment to bolstering their bilateral relations. The dialogue aims to address and enhance cooperation frameworks that have been previously established.
Furthermore, Bayramov announced that direct flights on certain routes, which have remained suspended following the tragic plane crash in December 2024, are expected to resume in the near future. This development is anticipated to facilitate better connectivity and strengthen the socio-economic ties between the two nations.
