Baku: Azerbaijan and Slovakia engaged in discussions to explore potential collaborations in the field of cybersecurity. A meeting took place at the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, where a delegation led by Tibor Straka, President of the Critical Infrastructure Association of the Slovak Republic, was present.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, discussions were centered around current activities and ongoing projects focusing on cybersecurity within critical infrastructure areas such as transport, energy, and digital services. Samaddin Asadov, the Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport, shared insights into Azerbaijan’s efforts in information security and cybersecurity. He highlighted the systematic measures being implemented under the “Strategy on Information Security and Cybersecurity of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2023-2027,” which was approved in 2023.

The meeting also focused on opportunities for cooperation in cybersecurity, particularly in the transport and telecommunications sectors. Prospects for experience exchange and the implementation of joint projects between public and private sectors were considered. Additionally, both parties exchanged views on fostering future cooperation between Azerbaijan and Slovakia in these critical areas.
