Azerbaijan and Turkic Investment Fund Discuss Economic Cooperation

Baku: Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister, Jeyhun Bayramov, recently met with a delegation led by Baghdad Amreyev, President of the Turkic Investment Fund, to discuss cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Fund. The meeting took place on June 16 and focused on key areas of collaboration and future projects.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, the discussions highlighted the significance of the Turkic Investment Fund, which was established with Azerbaijan's initiative and support, in enhancing economic integration among Turkic states. The Fund aims to promote mutual investments and contribute to regional sustainable development. The meeting underscored Azerbaijan's role in strengthening regional connectivity and expanding transport and communication networks.

Minister Bayramov emphasized the importance of Azerbaijan's projects in the region, particularly those related to the Middle Corridor and the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route. These initiatives are crucial for boosting Azerbaijan's position as a logistics and transport hub. The development of transport and logistics infrastructure around the Alat International Sea Trade Port was also discussed as a means to increase regional trade and cargo transport.

The meeting further explored Azerbaijan's efforts in alternative energy. Both parties agreed that enhancing the economic potential of the Turkic world and promoting investment projects would significantly contribute to regional prosperity and sustainable development. The session concluded with an exchange of views on other topics of mutual interest.
