Azerbaijan and U.S. Explore New Energy Projects and Infrastructure Cooperation

Baku: A meeting was held between Azerbaijan's Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov and a delegation led by Caleb Orr, Assistant Secretary of State for Economic, Energy and Business Affairs of the United States, the Ministry of Energy told APA-Economics. The minister thanked Caleb Orr for participating in Baku Energy Week. The documents signed within the framework of Baku Energy Week were assessed as indicators of a new stage in the development of the Azerbaijan-U.S. energy partnership.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, discussions during the meeting focused on the activities of U.S. companies in Azerbaijan's energy sector, highlighting the decisive role of oil and gas in the global energy balance. The talks included new exploration and production projects with Chevron and Exxon Mobil, as well as prospective areas of cooperation in the development of energy infrastructure.

The parties also reviewed the energy components of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity, alongside prospects for cooperation on regional electricity interconnectors.
