Azerbaijan and UAE Discuss Middle East Tensions in Phone Call

Baku: A phone conversation took place on March 1, 2026, between Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the United Arab Emirates' Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The discussion centered on the recent military clashes in the Middle East and the region's tense security situation.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, the ministers expressed deep concern over the ongoing situation. They highlighted the risks that continued military escalation poses to regional stability and stressed the importance of adhering to international law norms and principles. The dialogue underscored the necessity of resolving the conflict through diplomatic and political channels.

The conversation also emphasized that ensuring the safety of civilians and protecting critical infrastructure remain top priorities. Minister Jeyhun Bayramov extended condolences for the civilian casualties and injuries resulting from the conflict.
