Baku: Azerbaijan has granted permission to nearly 500 Russian citizens, including business representatives, to cross its border with Iran.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, this allowance comes as part of a cooperative effort between Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation, responding to requests from the Russian side.
A source revealed that the permits are being issued efficiently, with approximately 500 crossings already facilitated. These individuals include representatives of Russian organizations and companies operating in Iran. The source emphasized that Azerbaijan is extending substantial support to the Russian Federation to assist in the evacuation of Russian citizens from Iran.
Additionally, the Russian Embassy in Tehran has communicated via its Telegram channel that Russian nationals have the option to leave Iran through two border points: one through Azerbaijan and another through Armenia.
