Baku: Azerbaijan’s Minister of Health Teymur Musayev met with Vladanka Andreeva, United Nations Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan. Minister Musayev emphasized that the development of the healthcare sector is a primary focus of Azerbaijan’s state policy, highlighting comprehensive reforms in this area. He noted the importance of partnerships with international entities, particularly the United Nations, in achieving sustainable healthcare development.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Vladanka Andreeva thanked the Minister for the warm reception and reiterated the UN’s commitment to its partnership with Azerbaijan. She highlighted the implementation of the Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework for 2026-2030 as a significant avenue for collaboration. Andreeva praised Azerbaijan’s advancements in the healthcare sector and expressed the UN’s willingness to deepen its cooperation with the Ministry of Health.
During the discussion, both parties exchanged views on existing healthcare collaborations and explored future opportunities. They underscored the significance of joint initiatives between Azerbaijan and UN structures.
