Baku: Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeyhun Bayramov, engaged in a telephone conversation with Uzbekistan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov, on June 2. The discussion focused on the current state and future development of the strategic alliance between the two nations.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, both ministers emphasized the significant role of the high-level political dialogue between their countries' leaders in fostering dynamic bilateral cooperation. They deliberated on opportunities to enhance collaboration in various sectors, including political, economic, trade, transport and communications, energy, investment, and humanitarian areas.
The ministers also commended the mutual support and effective cooperation within international and regional organizations, such as the United Nations, the Organization of Turkic States, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. They stressed the importance of continued coordination in these multilateral platforms.
Furthermore, the two sides exchanged views on other regional and international issues of mutual interest during their conversation.
