Azerbaijan and Vietnam Strengthen Legal Ties with New Cooperation Program

Baku: A delegation led by Vietnam's Prosecutor General has arrived in Baku on a working visit, the Prosecutor General's Office told APA. Vietnam's Prosecutor General, Nguyen Tien, honored the memory of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, by visiting the Alley of Honor and laying a wreath at his grave. He also paid respects to the graves of notable figures, including ophthalmologist Zarifa Aliyeva, statesman Aziz Aliyev, and Professor Tamerlan Aliyev.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the delegation also paid tribute at the Alley of Martyrs, honoring those who died fighting for Azerbaijan's independence. The visit is part of efforts to strengthen ties between Azerbaijan and Vietnam. During a meeting between Azerbaijan's Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev and Nguyen Tien, both parties acknowledged the steady development of interstate relations, spurred by the political leadership of both nations.

The meeting culminated in the signing of a Cooperation Program aimed at enhancing legal cooperation. The program covers areas such as asset recovery and environmental protection, with the goal of further intensifying existing prosecutorial ties between the two countries. Following the meeting, the Vietnamese delegation explored the History Museum of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan, gaining insights into the country's legal history and developments.
