Madrid: Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process will culminate in peace agreement, says Speaker of Spanish Congress of Deputies. 'During today's meeting, I noted that Spain commends the advancements in the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process following the signing of the agreement during the Washington Summit on August 8, 2025,' said Francina Armengol Socias, Speaker of the Congress of Deputies of the Kingdom of Spain, at a joint briefing with Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Francina Armengol Socias expressed her hope that this process would culminate in a peace agreement putting an end to the decades-long conflict in the Garabagh region, as well as ushering a new era of progress and cooperation, if appropriate conditions are created.
