Baku: A total of AZN 4,454.9 million has been earmarked from Azerbaijan's 2025 state budget for the reconstruction and restoration of liberated territories. This allocation was revealed in the 'Annual Report on the Execution of the State Budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2025,' during a meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the report detailed that AZN 3,781.9 million, or 84.9%, is designated for targeted reconstruction and restoration efforts. Additionally, AZN 334.0 million, or 7.5%, is drawn from the state budget's reserve fund, AZN 276.3 million, or 6.2%, is allocated for state capital expenditures, and AZN 62.7 million, or 1.4%, comes from other state budget reserves.
The funds have been primarily directed at infrastructure projects, with AZN 3,930.8 million allocated for construction and reconstruction. This includes AZN 2,521.9 million for transport infrastructure, comprising AZN 2,197.6 million for highways and AZN 324.3 million for railways. Further allocations include AZN 992.5 million for residential complexes and landscaping, AZN 174.5 million for electricity supply and integration, and AZN 124.6 million for water pipeline infrastructure.
Additional allocations include AZN 55.8 million for industrial parks, AZN 36.1 million for communication services and tourism infrastructure, and AZN 15.2 million for cable cars in Shusha, Khankendi, and Lachin. Geological exploration receives AZN 7.1 million, tourism development AZN 0.7 million, and other projects AZN 2.4 million.
Furthermore, AZN 74.8 million is set aside for demining activities, AZN 9.8 million for defense and law enforcement facilities, and AZN 439.5 million for social projects across education, healthcare, culture, sports, and other initiatives.
