Baku: Azerbaijan's Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, attended the official opening ceremony of the 13th Beijing Xiangshan Forum. The event, themed 'Build Consensus on Stability and Advance Security Governance Together', was held to foster dialogue and cooperation on pressing international security issues.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the forum is acknowledged as a crucial platform for enhancing trust and mutual understanding among nations. It aims to promote peaceful resolutions to both regional and global security challenges. The 13th edition of the forum has drawn participation from senior defense officials representing more than 100 countries, alongside representatives from international organizations, think tanks, senior military officers, and experts in military and security affairs.

The Beijing Xiangshan Forum continues to be a significant event for addressing security governance and developing consensual approaches to stability. The forum's discussions and activities are scheduled to run through September 17.
