Baku: 'We highly value the remarks made by His Excellency President Ilham Aliyev on the importance of strengthening Islamic solidarity through practical action and joint efforts. This vision strongly aligns with ICESCO's mission to promote dialogue, cooperation, peace, and sustainable development,' Salim bin Mohammed AlMalik, ICESCO Director-General, told AZERTAC.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, AlMalik emphasized that Azerbaijan has played an important role in strengthening ties among Islamic countries. He noted the distinguished partnership between ICESCO and the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as the continued support extended to ICESCO's programmes and initiatives.

The ICESCO Director-General highlighted the establishment of the ICESCO Regional Office in Baku as a tangible outcome of this partnership. This office serves as an important platform for expanding cooperation with Azerbaijan, Central Asia, and the wider region.

AlMalik expressed ICESCO's eagerness to continue its close cooperation with the Republic of Azerbaijan. The aim is to strengthen solidarity, build bridges among peoples and cultures, and advance the shared goals of peace and development across the Islamic world.
