BAKU — Azerbaijani authorities have detained 94 foreign citizens for residing in the country without proper permits, as reported by APA citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, During operations conducted in August by the Office for Combating Illegal Migration of the Main Passport, Registration, and Migration Department, it was revealed that many detainees were also illegally employed. Investigations indicated that these individuals were misled by traffickers promising passage to European countries. The authorities have processed these cases in accordance with the national administrative offenses code, and the detained individuals have been transferred to the relevant legal bodies for further action.
