Baku: Azerbaijan exported a total of 8,203,845.45 tons of oil to 17 countries from January to April 2024, generating a total revenue of 4,562,682.52 thousand USD. Italy emerged as the largest importer, receiving 4,388,968.14 tons of oil valued at 2,448,796.82 thousand USD, reinforcing its leading position in Azerbaijan’s oil export market.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Czech Republic ranked second in Azerbaijan’s oil export destinations during the same period, importing 558,693.27 tons of oil worth 304,667.44 thousand USD. Romania followed closely in third place, with oil imports amounting to 500,350.62 tons, valued at 280,129.05 thousand USD.

The reported figures reflect oil exports finalized and registered by customs authorities within the specified timeframe. The data highlights Azerbaijan’s extensive oil trade network, involving 17 countries across different continents.

Other significant importers include Germany, Croatia, Portugal, and Great Britain, each receiving substantial oil quantities from Azerbaijan. Germany imported 500,001.10 tons of oil valued at 276,544.77 thousand USD, while Croatia received 428,402.79 tons worth 238,672.29 thousand USD. Portugal and Great Britain imported 353,986.48 and 243,951.89 tons, valued at 189,929.36 and 137,323.16 thousand USD, respectively.

Azerbaijan’s oil exports also reached Ireland, Greece, and the Netherlands, with respective import quantities of 243,468.25, 232,396.39, and 137,756.00 tons. The total value of these exports amounted to 129,715.04, 128,990.34, and 77,893.27 thousand USD.

Other countries, including Thailand, Indonesia, Switzerland, Denmark, Bulgaria, Tunisia, and Turkey, also contributed to Azerbaijan’s oil export figures, reinforcing the nation’s role as a key player in the global oil market.
