Baku: Pakistan has welcomed Azerbaijan's readiness to invest in mutually beneficial and commercially viable projects, describing it as a testament to the strong economic development taking place in Pakistan. It also reflects the vision of the leadership of the two brotherly countries to anchor bilateral relations firmly in diversified sectors, including trade and investment, Pakistan's Ambassador to Azerbaijan Qasim Mohiuddin said in an interview with AZERTAC, commenting on Azerbaijan's intention to invest $2 billion in Pakistan's economy and the current stage of work in this area.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, experts from both sides are working hard to move quickly from planning and feasibility studies to realizing concrete projects in different sectors. Without going into specifics, Ambassador Mohiuddin expressed confidence that good news about further cooperation, particularly in the energy sector where Azerbaijan has developed considerable expertise, would be announced soon. Additionally, cooperation in other areas such as defense and connectivity remains under active discussion.
