Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry Warns Against Travel to Conflict Zones

Baku: Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry has issued a stern travel warning regarding high-risk areas, highlighting the dangers associated with traveling to regions embroiled in armed conflict. Despite previous advisories, Azerbaijani citizens continue to venture into these perilous zones, leading to fatalities and injuries, the ministry stated.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the ministry emphasized the ongoing military operations in the Black Sea basin, which pose significant threats to civilian shipping. The use of unmanned aerial vehicles, missiles, and other weapons has rendered the security situation in the area highly unstable. This instability has considerably heightened the risks faced by civilian vessels and their crews.

In its statement, the ministry urged Azerbaijani citizens to avoid traveling to regions with active military operations or unstable security situations. It advised against engaging in employment activities or working on transportation routes in these areas, including maritime vessels. The ministry also recommended strict adherence to official travel advisories and encouraged contacting Azerbaijani diplomatic missions and consular offices when necessary.
