Baku: Azerbaijan has provided an overview of the business environment in the Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur regions, revealing significant economic activity as of October 1, 2024. The regions are home to 5,085 business entities and 93,386 individual entrepreneurs.

According to Trend News Agency, data from Azerbaijan’s State Statistical Committee shows that the Karabakh economic region hosts 3,875 microenterprises, accounting for about 2.2 percent of the total. Eastern Zangezur, on the other hand, has 851 microenterprises, representing about 0.5 percent.

In terms of small enterprises, the Karabakh economic region has 188, roughly 1.6 percent of the total. Meanwhile, Eastern Zangezur reports 52 small enterprises, making up about 0.4 percent. Medium-sized enterprises in Karabakh number 86, approximately 2.1 percent of the total, while Eastern Zangezur has 22, about 0.6 percent.

Karabakh has registered 6 large enterprises, constituting about 0.7 percent of the total, and Eastern Zangezur has 5, which is approxi
mately 0.6 percent. Regarding individual entrepreneurs, the Karabakh region has 87,510, representing 6.4 percent of the total, while Eastern Zangezur has 5,876, accounting for about 0.4 percent.
