Baku: A large quantity of narcotic drugs has been prevented from being smuggled into the country, the Press Center of the State Border Service told APA. Measures to ensure reliable border protection and combat the illegal circulation of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and their precursors are being successfully continued.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, in the service area of the ‘Goytepe’ border detachment of the Border Troops Command of the State Border Service, a significant quantity of narcotic drugs was intercepted from being transported from the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Azerbaijan. As a result of the border search and operational measures, a total of 21 kilograms 745 grams of marijuana were discovered and seized.
Operational-investigative actions regarding the case are ongoing.
