Baku: The circulation of civilian autonomous unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in Azerbaijan will now require a special permit. This development comes after an amendment to the existing law was discussed and approved during a session of the Milli Majlis.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the amendment modifies the Law on the List of Items That May Belong to Certain Participants of Civil Circulation and Whose Circulation Is Permitted on the Basis of a Special Permit. The law categorizes certain items as having restricted civil circulation, thus requiring special authorization for their use. The draft law was presented, voted on, and adopted in the first reading during the session.
