Baku: In accordance with the 2025 training plan, Azerbaijan’s Land Forces have organized a series of events commemorating the ‘Year of Constitution and Sovereignty,’ as reported by Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense to AZERTAC. These events took place across various military units of the Land Forces.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the events began with a tribute to National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who laid down their lives for the nation. This was marked by a minute of silence, followed by the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
During the events, speakers underscored the importance of the Order by President Ilham Aliyev, dated December 28, 2024, which declared 2025 as the ‘Year of Constitution and Sovereignty.’ This declaration is seen as a pivotal move impacting the legal, political, and public sectors, significantly contributing to Azerbaijan’s development.
The events also celebrated the historic Victory achieved by the Azerbaijan Army in the 44-day Patriotic War, under the leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief. The unity of the people and the valor of the soldiers were highlighted as key elements in securing this Victory, with a commitment to eternally honor the martyrs’ memory.
Additionally, it was highlighted that the extensive reconstruction and development efforts in the liberated territories, along with the Great Return, are indicative of the high regard held by the state and its people for their ancestral lands.
