FUZULI: A significant development project for a new central park is set to begin in Fuzuli city, Azerbaijan, with backing from the Karabakh Revival Fund, aiming to boost local infrastructure and tourism. The initiative includes constructing various facilities such as restaurants, playgrounds, sports complexes, and bridges.

According to Trend News Agency, the Chairman of the Karabakh Revival Fund, Rahman Hajiyev, announced that the project is currently undergoing expert review and will commence shortly. The park is part of a broader effort by the Fund to support redevelopment in Azerbaijan’s liberated territories. Hajiyev emphasized that most projects are implemented following requests from state institutions and funded by the Fund.

In addition to the central park, the Fund is also focusing on enhancing the area around Shahbulag Castle to attract more visitors. Plans for restoring critical historical sites, including the ancient Caravanserai and a museum in Shusha city, are underway with the Fund’s financial
support.

Hajiyev also mentioned an environmental initiative already completed in Fuzuli and the Zangilan region. Looking ahead, the Fund plans to work with the Ministry of Culture to fund memorial complexes in Karabakh, indicating a series of development projects aimed at revitalizing the region and preserving its cultural heritage.
