Azerbaijan Military Police Delegation Engages in Strategic Visit to Bulgaria

Sofia: In line with the program for the development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria, a delegation from the Military Police Department of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan visited Sofia, Bulgaria, the ministry told APA. The delegation, led by Deputy Chief of the Main Department of Internal Security and Investigations and Chief of the Military Police Department, Major General Elgun Aliyev, toured several key facilities of the Bulgarian Ministry of Defense's Military Police.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Azerbaijani delegation visited the administrative buildings of the Military Police Department and the Regional Military Police Unit. During their visit, they gained insights into the organization of military police structures, management mechanisms, and the specifics of daily military service activities. Presentations highlighted the duties of the Bulgarian Military Police during both peacetime and wartime, as well as their NATO-related activities.

During the meetings, both parties discussed the current state and future prospects of cooperation in the field of military police. An extensive exchange of views on related issues took place, focusing on mutual experience sharing, enhancement of professional training, and expansion of opportunities for joint activities.

The visit holds significant importance for expanding cooperation between the military police of Azerbaijan and Bulgaria, aiming to further develop relations in the field of security.
