Azerbaijan Not Planning to Import Chickenpox Vaccine, Health Official Confirms


OUAGADOUGOU — Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Health has no current plans to import the chickenpox vaccine, despite its availability and inclusion in national immunization schedules in some countries.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Afag Aliyeva, Deputy Director General of the Hygiene and Epidemiology Center, stated that while the chickenpox vaccine is available worldwide, Azerbaijan has not prioritized its importation at this time. The decision reflects the current public health strategy of the Ministry of Health.
