Baku: Azerbaijan has embarked on the development of a distance education model aimed at transforming educational access in small schools across the country, Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev announced to journalists.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the initiative, which began this year, allows students in six small schools to receive education online from a single teacher who connects remotely from a central location. This model enables students to remain in their villages while participating in lessons led by teachers situated at other schools. This innovative approach is designed to address educational challenges in remote areas.
Emin Amrullayev emphasized that while the program is still in its initial stages, it is making progress. He noted that implementing such significant changes in the education system will require time. The minister also mentioned that a recalibration of student numbers is planned for the summer months, and efforts to enhance the distance education model will continue.
