Baku: Measures will be taken to include Azerbaijan's documentary heritage in UNESCO's Memory of the World Register, APA reports. This initiative is part of the 'Azerbaijan Culture - 2040' Cultural Concept, recently approved by an order from President Ilham Aliyev.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the plan outlines that between 2026 and 2030, the Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, will be responsible for selecting cultural heritage items for nomination. The strategy involves preparing and submitting at least one nomination dossier each year during this period. The aim is to ensure the inclusion of Azerbaijan's cultural heritage examples in the Memory of the World Register and to promote them broadly.
