US Department of State Announces Release of TRIPP Implementation Framework

Vienna: Washington, D.C.: U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan met in Washington, D.C., to announce the release of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) Implementation Framework. The U.S. Department of State has released the text of the document, marking a step forward in fulfilling commitments made at the White House on August 8, 2025, to advance peace in the South Caucasus.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the Framework outlines a path to operationalize the TRIPP, which aims to establish multimodal transit connectivity through Armenia. This route is intended to link Azerbaijan with its Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, forming a crucial part of the Trans-Caspian Trade Route. The TRIPP is expected to enhance both international and intra-state connectivity for Armenia, providing mutual benefits.

The statement highlighted that the TRIPP Implementation Framework reflects principles of sovereignty, territorial integrity, and reciprocity, as affirmed at the August 8, 2025, Peace Summit hosted by President Trump. The TRIPP's ultimate goal is to bolster the prosperity and security of Armenia and Azerbaijan and to expand American commerce by increasing regional trade and connectivity. Additionally, it seeks to create new transit opportunities connecting Central Asia and the Caspian to Europe.
