Baku: Azerbaijan has produced a total of 6.6 million tons of oil, including condensate, during the first quarter of 2026, the Ministry of Energy revealed to APA-Economics.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the production data for January to March indicates that the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli field contributed significantly with 3.9 million tons. The Shah Deniz field followed with 0.9 million tons, and the Absheron field added 0.1 million tons to the total production. SOCAR, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic, reported a production of 1.7 million tons of oil, including condensate.
The Ministry further noted that during the same period, 5.2 million tons of oil, including condensate, were exported. The bulk of these exports, amounting to 4.8 million tons, was carried out by consortiums. SOCAR was responsible for 0.3 million tons of the exports, while JOCAP accounted for 0.1 million tons.
