Azerbaijan Relocates 144 Former IDPs to Mammadbayli Village in Zangilan

Mammadbayli: Today, the keys to the apartments of residents relocated to the village of Mammadbayli in Zangilan were presented.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the local bureau reports that after the residents were welcomed, ANAMA employees provided them with detailed information about the dangers posed by mines and unexploded ordnance. Families were advised to stay away from unfamiliar and unknown items or objects, and to inform the relevant authorities if they encounter such situations.

Employees of the Special Representative Office of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the Jabrayil, Gubadli, and Zangilan districts, the State Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan for Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons, and other officials attended the key-presentation ceremony. The families accepted the keys and settled into their homes.

At this phase, 30 families, totaling 144 people, have been relocated to the village of Mammadbayli. These families had been temporarily settled in dormitories, sanatoriums, pioneer camps, unfinished buildings, and administrative facilities in various regions of the republic.

The next relocation convoy has reached the village of Mammadbayli in Zangilan, with 30 families being relocated in accordance with the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev. The Great Return to the territories liberated from occupation continues as those who relocated to the village are families temporarily settled in various parts of the republic, mainly in hostels, sanatoriums, and administrative buildings.

The residents who returned to their homeland expressed gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva for being surrounded by state care. They also thanked the Azerbaijani Army, soldiers, and officers who liberated the lands from occupation, and they prayed for mercy for the martyrs who lost their lives in the process.
