Azerbaijan Relocates Next Group of Former IDPs to Aghdam

Aghdam: The next relocation convoy has arrived in the city of Aghdam, APA's Karabakh bureau reports. At this stage, keys to new apartments have been handed over to 397 people from 110 families relocated to the city of Aghdam. Representatives of the Special Representation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the districts of Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavend, as well as the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons, attended the ceremony.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, another resettlement convoy has been dispatched to the city of Aghdam. At this stage, 110 families - 397 people - who had been temporarily housed in various regions of the country, mainly in dormitories, sanatoriums, and administrative buildings, have been relocated to their native homes.

Among those resettled are 84 families (299 people) from Baku, 6 families (25 people) from Aghjabadi, 5 families (20 people) from Barda, 3 families (14 people) from Mingachevir, 4 families (11 people) from Aghdam district, 3 families (9 people) from Yevlakh, 2 families (8 people) from Agdash, 1 family (5 people) from Sumgait, 1 family (4 people) from Absheron, and 1 family (2 people) from Ismayilli. With this, the total number of people resettled in the city of Aghdam has reached 659 families - 2,411 individuals.

Relocation to the remaining 2 vacant houses is scheduled for May in accordance with the plan.
