Baku: In January-June of this year, the output of products and services in the information and communication sector of the Karabakh economic region reached 3.6 million manats.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the State Statistical Committee reported a 1.3% increase compared to the same period last year. In the first quarter, Barda district generated 2.9 million manats, marking a 35.4% year-on-year increase. Fuzuli district saw 270,500 manats, up by 18.6%, while Shusha district recorded 140,100 manats, representing a 58.7% rise. However, Aghjabadi district experienced a significant decline with 69,300 manats, down 84.6%. Aghdam district also faced a decrease, with 165,100 manats, a 43% drop, and Tartar district saw 81,200 manats, down 79.1%.
In the Eastern Zangazur economic region, the information and communication sector’s output amounted to 129,500 manats over the six-month period, showing a 13.1% increase from last year. Jabrayil district reported communication services worth 118,400 manats, up 20.2% year-on-year, and Kalbajar district contributed 11,100 manats.
