Baku: Azerbaijan produced 13.3 million tons of oil and 25.4 bcm of natural gas in January-June 2026.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, operational data for the first half of 2026 indicated a total oil production, including condensate, of 13.3 million tons. This included 7.9 million tons from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli field, 1.7 million tons from Shah Deniz, and 0.3 million tons from the Absheron field. SOCAR's contribution to the oil output was 3.4 million tons, as reported by Azerbaijan's Ministry of Energy.

During the same period, Azerbaijan exported 10.5 million tons of oil, including condensate. Of the total exports, consortiums accounted for 9.5 million tons, SOCAR for 0.7 million tons, and JOCAP for 0.3 million tons. The average daily oil production, including condensate, was 61 thousand tons, equivalent to 449 thousand barrels, with condensate making up 12 thousand tons or 103 thousand barrels. The overall daily average for total oil production was 73 thousand tons or 552 thousand barrels. Additionally, oil refining during the reporting period reached approximately 2.9 million tons.

In terms of natural gas, Azerbaijan produced 25.4 bcm in the first half of 2026. The breakdown of gas output showed 7.3 bcm from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli field, 13.7 bcm from Shah Deniz, 0.8 bcm from the Absheron field, and 3.6 bcm from SOCAR. Gas exports during this period amounted to 12.7 bcm, with 5.9 bcm directed to Europe, 4.9 bcm to Trkiye, including 3 bcm via TANAP, 1.2 bcm to Georgia, and 0.7 bcm to Syria.

Since the commissioning of the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli and Shah Deniz fields, up to 1 July 2026, Azerbaijan has produced nearly 679.8 million tons of oil, including gas condensate, and 529.6 bcm of gas. Specifically, production from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli field totaled 625.6 million tons of oil and 251.1 bcm of gas, while Shah Deniz yielded nearly 54.2 million tons of condensate and 278.5 bcm of gas.
