Baku: Azerbaijan successfully restored over 571 kilometers of roads in the liberated territories over the past year. Special attention was paid to mobilization preparedness scheduled for 2025, with significant steps taken to improve the quality of mobilization reserves, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this information was disclosed during the Ministry of Defense's board meeting dedicated to reviewing the results of 2025. It was highlighted that in 2025, the knowledge and skills of over 19,000 reservists from various specialties were enhanced through training sessions. These reservists received instructions on the use of newly commissioned weapons and equipment, and practical exercises were conducted. Efforts to continue improving these skills are planned for 2026 as well.

The meeting also addressed engineering and fortification measures in the liberated territories, focusing on the construction of new roads and the establishment of military infrastructure. Reports indicated that in 2025, nearly 79 kilometers of new roads were constructed through collaboration between engineering and fortification units and other state bodies. Additionally, approximately 67 kilometers of roads were cleared of snow, contributing to the restoration of over 571 kilometers of roads.
