Baku: Azerbaijani and UK servicemen are participating in a significant cybersecurity training exercise as part of a bilateral military cooperation plan for 2026-2027. This initiative, endorsed by the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Defense of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, involves highly skilled cybersecurity specialists from both nations taking part in the Defence Cyber Marvel 2026 event, with some activities held in Baku.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the exercise is organized by the UK Army Cyber Association. It includes participation from teams across Defense, Government agencies, industry partners, and other countries. The main objective is to assess and enhance the participants' abilities to thwart potential cyber-attacks against allied forces in real-world scenarios.

During the exercise, cybersecurity specialists from Azerbaijan and the UK showcased their expertise in several critical areas. They focused on preventing cyber attacks on essential infrastructure, addressing system security vulnerabilities, aligning IT tools with global security standards, conducting cyber investigations and intelligence operations, ensuring information security, and implementing various cyber defense strategies. Defence Cyber Marvel serves as an annual training event, allowing armed forces personnel to strengthen their cybersecurity capabilities.
