Azerbaijan Resumes “Great Return” with New Convoy to Khojavend and Surrounding Areas

Khojavend: Azerbaijan has dispatched another relocation convoy to the city of Khojavend and the surrounding Girmizi Bazar settlement, as well as the villages of Guzeykhirman and Guneykhirman in the Khojavend district. This initiative aligns with the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev as part of the ongoing "Great Return" process to the liberated territories.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the latest phase saw a convoy transporting 33 families, totaling 135 people, to the city of Khojavend. Additionally, 9 families comprising 44 people were relocated to the Girmizi Bazar settlement, 8 families with 41 people to Guzeykhirman village, and a single family of 4 to Guneykhirman village.

These families had been residing in temporary accommodations, such as dormitories, sanatoriums, and administrative buildings, across various regions of the country. Their return marks a significant step in the resettlement process, as they reclaim their native lands.

The returning residents expressed gratitude towards President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva for the comprehensive state care and support. They also acknowledged the contributions of the Azerbaijani Army and paid tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the liberation of these territories.
