Baku: Azerbaijan, Russia, and Iran have reached an agreement on the implementation of the "e-Permit" system, as announced by Subhan Abilov, Head of the Freight Transportation Department of the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA), during the 2nd Caspian International Transport, Transit and Logistics Forum.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Subhan Abilov emphasized the significance of foreign permit forms in international freight transportation. He stated that hundreds of thousands of exchanged documents are issued to carriers and drivers for international cargo transportation annually, highlighting the importance of streamlining this process.
The "e-Permit" system is designed to facilitate the digital exchange and issuance of "Permit" forms, which are essential for international road freight transportation among the involved countries. This system aims to enhance efficiency and reduce the reliance on paper-based documentation in cross-border transport operations.
