Baku: Azerbaijan's oil fields have witnessed a notable increase in marketable associated gas production, with figures rising by more than 22% in the first half of this year. The State Statistical Committee reported to APA-Economics that the country produced a total of 7.86417 billion cubic meters of associated gas during this period, reflecting a 6.5% increase compared to the previous year.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, out of the total associated gas produced, 2.53077 billion cubic meters were classified as marketable output, marking a significant 22.6% rise in a year-on-year comparison. This growth follows last year's production of 15.41622 billion cubic meters of associated gas, which itself was a 2.1% increase from the previous year.
In 2025, the marketable output of associated gas in Azerbaijan was recorded at 4.02257 billion cubic meters, which represented a 5.33% increase compared to the prior year. The ongoing upward trend in associated gas production highlights Azerbaijan's expanding capacity in the oil and gas sector.
